From Patrick's Family to Yours:
A Special Appeal to Continue Our Mission.
"I feel a deep connection with the experiences of those we serve. Like many of our members, I too have navigated through challenges that at one point felt insurmountable. The life I lead today, particularly the joy of having my own family, was once a distant dream. Sitting with my daughter, assembling a tiny Weld house together, I'm reminded of the transformative power of hope and support.
Weld Seattle was founded on a principle I hold close: the right to safe, dignified, and sober living should be accessible to everyone, especially those impacted by the criminal legal system who are often stripped of both agency and resources. In our city, the stark need for innovative housing solutions and access to mental health and addiction recovery services is evident. It's within this challenging landscape that I'm proud to say Weld Seattle has reached a significant milestone - our 100,000th night of providing shelter to some of Seattle’s most vulnerable.
This milestone could never have been achieved without the support of our incredible staff, many of whom, like me, have faced involvement with the legal system, addiction, and homelessness. I deeply believe in the redemptive power of lived experience, both for those who offer it and those who receive it. I understand firsthand that no one is better qualified to assist our members than those who have walked similar paths.
Here's to the next 100,000 nights of shelter that Weld Seattle will provide, and to the hundreds of people who will find comfort, security, and hope in our safe, dignified, and sober housing. Sharing this moment of celebration with my daughter, crafting a symbol of what we've achieved together, reinforces the impact of our collective effort. As we look towards this future, your continued financial support is crucial. It empowers us to sustain and expand our services, touching more lives and fostering more stories of transformation. Every contribution, big or small, makes a tangible difference. I invite you to join us in this journey of hope and healing by making a donation today."
Best regards and Happy Holidays to you all,
Patrick Arney
